Grand Lodge FOP Auxiliary Informer (link: https://national.fop.net/auxinformermarch2022)

The FOP is hosting a St. Patrick's Day party on March 13th at the FOP from 11 am to 6 pm. Our Auxiliary will be selling corned beef sandwiches. We will also be selling some of our merchandise and having a raffle for a beautiful Irish law enforcement picture (see below). If you cannot come to this party and would like to purchase raffle ticket(s) please contact me at bcannon@dc-fop.org.

The price of the ticket is 1 for $5 or 3 for $10. The drawing will be March 13th at 4 pm. We can accept credit/debit cards over the phone for payment. I will fill out the tickets for you.

The Annual Local Law Enforcement Memorial is planned for May 9, 2022 at 11:30am in front of DC MPD Headquarters. There will be a lunch provided by our Auxiliary afterwards. Next month I will be able to provide the Honorees for this year. If you can make it to this service to show your support that would be wonderful.

The National FOP Auxiliary as well as our Auxiliary is looking for volunteers for Police Week this year. We need help with getting the survivors through registration, riding with the survivors to the Capitol, putting blue ribbons in programs helping both with the National FOP Auxiliary Ways and Means merchandise table at tent city and the DC FOP Auxiliary merchandise table which will be at the DC FOP and so much more. If you are interested in volunteering with our DC Auxiliary at the merchandise table, please contact me at bcannon@dc-fop.org. If you are interested in helping with the National FOP Auxiliary, please send an email to memorialservicevolunteer@fop.net.

If you would like to learn more about volunteering at Police Week and what is involved, the National FOP Auxiliary is having a training class on this topic on March 24 at 8:00pm EST. If you would like to attend, please contact Kristina Waters at kristinawaters05@gmail.com for a zoom invite.

A new benefit that the NFOP is offering is a "Killed in the Line of Duty Loan Protection". A flyer is posted below for your information (if you click on the flyer you'll open a PDF.)

There is now a National FOP Mobile Application which you can download and be able to keep up with the National FOP events and information as well as the National FOP Auxiliary events and information. After you download the application, you sign up by simply putting in your name, lodge number and membership number, which for all auxiliary members is 88888.

I am still receiving 2022 Auxiliary renewal payments. If you have not sent your renewal payment in yet, please do so as soon as possible.

Thank you and I hope everyone has a beautiful upcoming spring.
