About Us


The Fraternal Order of Police Jerrard F. Young District of Columbia Lodge #1 offers a place to voice ideas and concerns. The Lodge promotes fraternalism and the opportunity to interact with fellow police officers. The Lodge is composed of members from 114 different law enforcement agencies and civilian associate members from all walks of life and is involved in many community projects, charities and social functions as well as their efforts to improve law enforcement.

Our lodge is located at 711 4th Street, NW in downtown Washington, DC (area map). The closest metro stop is Judiciary Square (Red line), which is conveniently located only one block from our building. Other landmarks close to us are the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial (located one block away at the Judiciary Square Metro Stop), the Verizon Center, which is two blocks away, and Chinatown, which is also only two blocks away.

Administrative Office Hours

Currently, our administrative offices are open on Fridays from noon until 4pm for walk-ins. No FOP tags are being processed at this time.

Internet Access

As a service to our members and guests we offer complimentary high speed wireless Internet access. Please visit our office to obtain the current SSID and encryption key. If you don't know what those are, no matter, we also provide guest workstations in our administrative office. All wireless connections to the Internet are protected by VPN friendly firewalls.

Conference Room

Our conference room is capable of seating approximately 200 persons. It is equipped with a television and VCR, a speakerphone and full Internet access (both wireless and hardwired). Any member wishing to reserve the room for a meeting must schedule it in advance.
