Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Today, October 1, 2026, we proudly celebrate the 60th anniversary of our Lodge’s original charter.
Chartered on October 1, 1966, our Lodge would later be named in honor of Jerrard F. Young. The names recorded on that original charter represent the beginning of a legacy carried forward by generations of members committed to their profession, their communities, and one another.
For six decades, our Lodge has brought members of the law enforcement community together, strengthened our collective voice, and provided fellowship through the challenges and triumphs of service. That history belongs to every member who has contributed time, leadership, friendship, and support along the way.
As we mark this milestone, we honor our founding members, thank those who have sustained our Lodge, and remember the brothers and sisters who are no longer with us. We inherit both a proud history and a responsibility to carry it forward.
We look forward to celebrating together at our 60th Anniversary Dinner this Saturday, October 3, at the National Union Building:
Time: 6:00–11:00 p.m.
Location: 918 F Street NW, Washington, DC
Attire: Black tie
The evening will include a cash-bar cocktail hour, buffet dinner, remarks from FOP leaders, a look back at our Lodge’s history, and live music and dancing. It will be a special opportunity to reconnect, share memories, and celebrate the friendships that have sustained our organization.
Thank you for being part of this enduring brotherhood and for helping shape the next chapter of our Lodge’s history.
Happy 60th Anniversary, Brothers and Sisters!
Fraternally,
Marinos Marinos
