Welcome, and thank you for visiting our web site!  By way of introduction, the Fraternal Order of Police District of Columbia Lodge #1 is one of the largest lodges in our nation.  Our membership consists of 11,000 members from over 114 various District and Federal agencies.  Our lodge also holds the distinction of being the only lodge that is both a state and local lodge.  I hope you find our web site informative, and urge you to contact us if you have any questions or comments.
     
Visitor Information
Our lodge is located at 711 4th Street, NW in downtown Washington, DC (area map).  The closest metro stop is Judiciary Square (Red line), which is conveniently located only one block from our building.  Other landmarks close to us are the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial (located one block away at the Judiciary Square Metro Stop), the MCI Center, which is two blocks away, and Chinatown, which is also only two blocks away.

Administrative Office Hours
Our administrative offices are open Monday thru Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Our general telephone number is (202) 408-7767.

Internet Access
Our Lodge is equipped with high speed Internet access.  As a service to our members and guests we offer complimentary high speed  wireless Internet access using the 802.11b type WIFI cards.  Please visit our office to obtain the current SSID and encryption key.  If you don't know what those are, no matter, we also provide guest workstations in our administrative office.  All wireless connections to the Internet are protected by VPN friendly firewalls.

Conference Room
Our conference room is capable of seating approximately 20 persons.  It is equipped with a television and VCR, a speakerphone and full Internet access (both wireless and hardwired).  Any member wishing to reserve the room for a meeting must schedule it in advance.

Restaurant & Lounge Hours
The club is open from 7:00 a.m. to  midnight on Monday  thru Wednesday, and from 7:00a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on Thursday and Friday.  Breakfast is served from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.  The club is normally closed on Saturday and Sunday unless a special event is planned.  Please note that the club may close earlier on Monday nights at the discretion of the bartender.

Banquet & Meeting Facility
Our banquet and meeting room is capable of supporting functions of up to 125 persons, depending upon room configuration.  For special events held on the weekends, the adjoining lounge area will support an additional 75 persons.  Members wishing to reserve the facility should contact the Banquet Coordinator.  We offer a full in-house catering service for all functions.  We also have relationships with local DJ's and live bands.
